Deeply virtual Compton scattering in the tensor-pomeron approach

چکیده
The two-tensor-pomeron model proposed previously to describe low x DIS data is applied real and virtual Compton scattering on a proton. includes two tensor pomerons, soft hard one, reggeons. We include contributions of both transverse longitudinal photons. show that this gives very good description experimental at small Bjorken deeply (DVCS) from HERA. reggeon exchange term particularly relevant for describing the real-photon-proton measured lower ?p energies FNAL. present fits which differ somewhat in strength pomeron contribution. In we find interference between soft- hard-pomeron plays an important role. DVCS soft-pomeron contribution considerable up Q2?20 GeV2. Our allows study transition small-Q2 regime, including photoproduction (Q2=0) limit, large-Q2 limit. also discuss ratio cross sections longitudinally transversely polarized photons ??p??p as function |t| Q2. R˜(Q2,W2,t)=(d?L/dt)/(d?T/dt) strongly increases with t. findings may be checked future lepton-nucleon experiments low-x instance, Electron-Ion Collider BNL (EIC), and, if LHeC realized, LHC.

Deeply-virtual Compton Scattering
We study in QCD the physics of deeply-virtual Compton scattering (DVCS)—the virtual Compton process in the large s and small t kinematic region. We show that DVCS can probe a new type of off-forward parton distributions. We derive an Altarelli-Parisi type of evolution equations for these distributions. We also derive their sum rules in terms of nucleon form-factors of the twist-two quark and gl...
متن کاملDeeply Virtual Compton Scattering and Saturation Approach
We investigate the deeply virtual Compton scattering (DVCS) in the color dipole approach, implementing the dipole cross section through the saturation model, which interpolates successfully between soft and hard regimes. The imaginary and real part of the DVCS amplitude are obtained and the results are compared to the available data.

We propose to measure the Beam Spin Asymmetry (BSA) in Deeply Virtual Compton Scattering (DVCS) off 4He. The measurements will use a 6 GeV polarized electron beam, a 4He pressurized gas target, the CLAS and the BoNuS RTPC detectors. The major goal of this proposal is to perform the first fully quantitative investigation of the DVCS reaction off a nuclear target in the coherent and incoherent ch...
متن کاملDeeply Virtual Compton Scattering in the Saturation Approach
The study of hard exclusive reactions in the Bjorken limit is crucial to obtain information on parton dynamical correlations in the nucleon. The recent data from DESY ep collider HERA on exclusive diffractive virtual Compton process [1,2,3] (DVCS) at large Q becomes an important source to study the partons, in particular gluon, inside the proton for non-forward kinematics and its relation with ...
متن کاملDeeply virtual compton scattering off the neutron.
The present experiment exploits the interference between the deeply virtual Compton scattering (DVCS) and the Bethe-Heitler processes to extract the imaginary part of DVCS amplitudes on the neutron and on the deuteron from the helicity-dependent D(e,e'gamma)X cross section measured at Q2=1.9 GeV2 and xB=0.36. We extract a linear combination of generalized parton distributions (GPDs) particularl...
